Q: What if my child advances through the subjects faster than he/she should. What would happen then?
A: We can always move your child up to the next grade if we feel that they are ready to do so or if they finish before the year is over. Same as if another child that is a grade younger hears what their peer is doing and they show interest in the other student's work and show that they can do it, then we can move them into that grade with their peer.

Q: What if my child is really not confident with their grade level? What can the tutors do in order to help my child out if they just can't grasp onto the subject at all no matter how hard the tutor tries to help my child out?
A: We can always go down a grade and slowly merge them back into their grade. It is good to note that our course material is so advanced, so it is hard to go by grades when it is more advanced than what they would learn in the school board system. Instead, we would rather remind parents that it is more about levels. We will talk to the parent and they can choose what level they feel their child is more comfortable with and start there.

Q: Does iLearn Fast Tutoring Pod offer drop-in hours for students? I don't have my child(ren) full time so this would be ideal!
A: We definitely do offer drop-in hours! Drop in is $30/day per child.

A: They definitely can, but there will be a fee per child to come and if there are no supervisors then they will be required to pay the drop-in cost for the day.

Q: Is there child care options when we need to find child care?
A: We can more than likely work something out between either of the tutors. Please give us enough notice in advance and we will try to work with you the best we can.

Q: What if my child misses a day of school? How can we work that out?
A: If you know ahead of time that your child wont be in school then we will send the parent home with the work that they would be doing at the tutoring pod. If your child is sick and that was unforeseen then we will do our best to get them all caught up and then send the child home with what we couldn't cover for that day.

Q: Will my child be coming home with homework at all?
A: Not very often as we believe that children should be able to enjoy their time off once school is over. The only time your child will go home with homework is if they don't focus during school hours or if they need to study for a test. Other than that we like to allow kids to be kids!

Q: What if our child enjoys doing homework and would rather spend a bit of time doing homework?
A: We can always send your child home with the next couple lessons and they can work on it. We will explain the work to them and then see if they can do the work on their own and then review it with them.

Q: What if my child fails a test? What happens then?
A: We will not move on to the next section until the child conquers those lessons. We believe in making sure the students understand everything instead of them falling behind.

Q: How do you help children focus better when they don't focus well some days?
A: The children are allowed to bring or make a fidget toy as long as they don't focus on that too much and not get their work done. We also have meditation music playing as they do their schoolwork and we also play nature music. We switch it up depending on the mood in the classroom.

Q: Does my child need to bring a lunch, snacks, and a drink to school?
A: Yes, your child needs all of those things. We can warm your child's lunch up for school each day if they like warm lunches, but we ask parents to provide us with butter or oil so we can do so otherwise we use up our own ingredients. There is an option to pay a bit extra to eat the homemade meals that the tutors have if that is of any interest to parents, too.

Q: Can we join our children in the classroom if we want to watch what they are learning or how they are doing?
A: There are always options for volunteering. If you come in as a volunteer then you can absolutely come to the classroom for the day.

Q: Will our child still be getting the option of gym and recess?
A: Yes, the children get time outdoors after they are done their math and English/L.A. We have different sporting goods as well as a nice playground with a large field for them to run around on across the street, so there are plenty of options for the kids to burn off some energy by running or they can learn some new sports or even enjoy some old ones that they have already done before!

Q: What happens if my child finishes their work before their other peers?
A: Your child will have the opportunity to color, play Lego, read books from the iLearn Fast Tutoring Pod's library, or they can have fun playing quietly with something they choose to do until the other students are finished. There are plenty of options and they can even continue to go further ahead in their workbooks if they choose to do so, too.
